SALT LAKE CITY – After a rough first road outing against the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners last week, the No. 4 Red Rocks returned to the Huntsman Center to host the No. 25 Washington Huskies.
The meet was never once in doubt as the Red Rocks put the Huskies on notice rather quickly there weren’t there to play games. A few season highs later, Utah walked away from the Huntsman Center victorious, 197.975- 196.350.
Rotation One: Utah Vault, UW Bars
Unfortunately the landing got blocked, but Hoffman came in hot with a beautiful 1.5 and a 🎯 landing. 9.950 for the effort. Nice rotation to start things off for the #RedRocks pic.twitter.com/Uktp5SP0yd

Summary
The Red Rocks off to a great start after rotation one, lead the Huskies 49.425 – 49.000. Highlight on vault was Jillian Hoffman’s stuck 1.5. It’s the first time she’s competed that vault since coming back from injury last season.
Rotation Two: Utah Bars, UW Vault
Scoring has been so off today. One judge gave Grace McCallum a 10 for her bars routine, the other a 9.900. She’s like third or fourth routine that’s had a big discepency in scoring. #Utes

Cristal Isa: 9.850
Grace McCallum: 9.950
Summary
Another strong showing for the Red Rocks in rotation two with Maile O’Keefe and Grace McCallum being the stars of the show. There has been a pattern today of extreme discrepancies in how routines have been scored today. About three or four of Utah’s routines so far have had a tenth of a point difference between judges which is a lot. Example, one judge gave McCallum a 10, another a 9.900.
Rotation Three: Utah Beam, UW Floor
Crowd wanted a 10 for O’Keefe but will have to settle for a 9.975. Absolutely stunning effort once again.#GoUtes #BeamTeam #trUSt pic.twitter.com/S0ikIzmBDo

Another beautiful effort even with a few uncharacteristic mistakes from the Red Rocks on beam. Maile O’Keefe and Cristal Isa were absolutely exquisite to end the rotation. Utah heading into the fourth with a very comfortable lead.
Final Rotation: UW Beam, Utah Floor
Brenner might be the juice the #RedRocks have needed on floor. Great energy piece that earned a 9.875.#GoUtes #trUSt pic.twitter.com/yIKK8S2kuf
